Ho’oponopono and Advaita – a Comparison of Two Spiritual Traditions
March 15, 2024Gayatri Mantra: The Ancient Wisdom for your Modern Life
June 27, 2024Manifesting is often referred to as an art! Have you ever wondered how to turn your dreams and goals into reality? Well, that’s exactly what manifesting is all about. It’s the ability to consciously create your desires and intentions and draw them into your life. But how does it actually work? In this article, I ask myself some important questions about manifesting and give you practical tips on how you can apply this powerful technique in your own life. I’ll also tell you what Advaita proponents say about manifesting. Be ready to completely throw your previous knowledge overboard and reshape your world! Let’s go!
Guide: How do I manifest my goals?
The danger with this blog post is that I distract you from the essentials – because Advaita is not about manifesting at all. Even though my experience is that this happens much faster and more effectively than without this orientation. As a side effect, so to speak. But how should I communicate this? That’s why I’m going to start by writing about goals and all the questions surrounding manifesting.
If you want to manifest your goals, start by visualizing them clearly. What do you want? Imagine how it will feel when you have already achieved it. Then set clear intentions and move forward step by step to achieve exactly that.
What do I need to consider when manifesting?
When manifesting, it’s best to look out into the world with gratitude and positivity. Stay open to the possibilities and trust that the universe will give you what you really need. Sometimes that’s not so easy when expectations are allowed to slip away.
How do I manifest quickly?
I understand – it should be quick for you. I usually feel the same way. However, I have often experienced that my desired result came exactly when I had honestly already given up on it. Manifesting quickly requires focus and faith. Even more specifically: You need to get out of the way. Yes – the more involved you get – the longer it takes. Get out of the way of the universe, get out of the line of fire of the source – get out of the way. And that’s also what Advaita is about. It’s not about the person, it’s not about the goals you want to achieve – it’s only about the source from which it is manifested. But that was a little excursion into the world of Advaita. How do you manifest quickly? Visualize your goals clearly, and then let go and trust that they will unfold when the time is right. Be patient and keep at it! I know this is probably not what you wanted to read right now.
What is the best way to manifest?
The best way to manifest is to be authentic and act in accordance with your own personality. Don’t be guided by what you think others might like and how you might impress others. What do you want for yourself from the inside out? Be clear about what you want and then act out of integrity and trust in yourself.
What do you need to manifest?
Everything you need to manifest is already within you! You need clarity about your goals, faith in yourself and in the universe, and the willingness to take the necessary steps to achieve what you want.
Can I manifest every day?
Yes, absolutely! You can manifest every day. Visualize your goals, set clear intentions and take these concrete steps to achieve your goals. But don’t manifest the same thing over and over again. Once is enough. And in truth, you are always manifesting – I wasn’t even aware of this for a long time. All thoughts and feelings become reality. Manifestation is exactly that – life is created from what you think and feel throughout the day. I am convinced that you cannot not manifest. Therefore, in my opinion, the art lies in being very mindful of your own thoughts and feelings.
What can I do wrong when manifesting?
When manifesting, you can get in your own way by allowing doubt or fear to block your energy. Stay positive and trust that the universe will give you what you need.
When not to manifest?
There is no specific time when you are not allowed to manifest, but it is important that you are positive and have integrity. Also, always check what intention is really behind your wish.
Why doesn’t manifesting work?
Manifesting may not work for various reasons. Perhaps you don’t even realize at first that your wish has been fulfilled for a long time? It could be that you didn’t formulate it so clearly. Or you may wish for contradictory goals. Sometimes doubts simply creep in – which of course also manifest themselves. Beliefs play a role here. If you are subconsciously convinced that “Life is against me”, then perhaps this is expressed in the fact that manifesting doesn’t work out so well for you. You can also notice this when you are pessimistic, for example. A positive world view would be better – for example the belief: “Life is a trusting place.” This allows you to experience that the universe gives you what you really need.
What blocks manifesting?
In addition to what I already wrote on the last point, I would like to write here about blockages in the nervous system. Have you experienced a shock? Or do you know about a traumatization? These fears and this blockage in the nervous system can have such an effect that you have no energy, no strength and no confidence in life. Then you could work on your self-confidence and clear out what is preventing you from achieving your goals.
Does manifesting have side effects?
The side effects of manifesting can be that your perspective changes and you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your goals. Everything you do is a learning process. Be open to change and grow with the experiences that manifesting brings. I would even ask the question in a completely different way. For me, manifesting is now a side effect of orienting myself towards the source, of being the source. After all, all manifestations come from a single source. And this source is what Advaita is all about. I already wrote – it could be that I’m throwing everything you’ve learned and thought about manifesting out the window.
Mistakes when manifesting
One mistake when manifesting can be that you believe you have a right to have your wishes come true. From my point of view, it is therefore a mistake to assume that the fulfillment of your wish will make you happy. Maybe you didn’t do anything wrong when manifesting? Perhaps you are simply not destined for this particular wish to come true? This is also what the sage of Mount Arunachala says, as you can read in the next section.
What does Sri Ramana Maharshi say about manifesting?
When I had the idea for this article, the quote from Sri Ramana Maharshi immediately came to mind. His words are on the one hand so clear – on the other hand they seem simple. If you look at them from the mind, they are often difficult to understand. Only when you change your point of view and look from the source – then they suddenly begin to shine with clarity. But now I’ll let the sage from Tiruvannamalai himself have his say:
“The Ordainer controls the fate of souls in accordance with their past deeds – their prarabdha karma. Whatever is destined not to happen will not happen, try hard how you may. Whatever is destined to happen will happen, do what you may to stop it. This is certain. The best course, therefore, is for one to be silent.” (Sri Ramana Maharshi)
So now we have the situation. And I’ve arrived where I wanted to go with you. I recommend that you don’t focus so much on manifesting, but more on how to “be still”. And if you are interested in how to do that, then read my post on Atma Vichara – the traditional method of self-inquiry – which Sri Ramana Maharshi revived and showed how simple and effective this method is.
What did Sri Poonjaji say about manifesting?
Papaji – as Sri Poonjaji was also called – liked to tell the story of a king who was looking for an heir to the throne. He had no children and organized a feast. He would give the throne to whoever would come to visit him in the throne room to ask for it. But all the visitors throughout the palace were busy enjoying the king’s belongings – the food, the jewelry, the clothes and the music. They had all forgotten that they would have the opportunity to own it all forever, resigning themselves to enjoying the individual pleasures on this one day. And that’s what he was saying – it is possible to manifest. But there is something much, much more valuable. You can “be still”, you can be the source itself from which all manifestation arises. And I’m telling you: it’s worth it! But this is my experience – why should you believe me? I wish that you would not only read words here, but that you could have the experience. As you can see, I would like to make you curious to experience it for yourself.
What does Madhukar say about manifesting?
I am writing this during the online retreat. Today in Satsang Madhukar said: “You are the source from which the states and the observer arise.” And it is always amazing how strong the presence is in such an online retreat. What he says is true – and it is infinitely valuable to be this source. But as I said, it’s not about understanding it, it’s really valuable to have this experience, to be this source. And not “just” drawing from the source, as is the case with manifesting. Because being the source is as fulfilling as no manifestation could ever be.
My conclusion about manifesting
If you understand how manifesting works, then that’s quite nice. But being the source from which all manifestation arises – that is true fulfillment.
