They hang in many households, stores and often even in the rickshaws here. There is a Shiva temple in the temple town of Tirivannamalai and Mount Arunachala, which is considered sacred, it is seen as a manifestation of Shiva. That is why Om Namah Shivaya has such an important meaning here.
